This project explored the efficacy of managed bumblebees (B. impatiens) as supplemental pollinators to strawberry, and its dependence on landscape context. We also assessed potential risks to wild pollinators with visitation surveys and pathogen screening.

In this project we exposed bumblebees to an insecticide (bifenthrin or thiamethoxam), a fungicide (difenoconazole, myclubutanil, or fenhexamid), or a combination of the two and documented the potential for synergistic effects to bumblebees (B. impatiens)
